Description (Some HTML is OK)

Sticky, sweet, as spicy as you choose to make them. My kids can't get enough of them!

Ingredients

Makes 0 servings

  • 2 lb pork ribs
  • Marinade
  • 4 tbsp barbecue sauce (e.g. something like Sharwood's Hoising Sauce)
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Chinese chilli sauce (or more if not making for kids)
  • ¼ tsp five spice powder
  • sherry
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1" piece of ginger, grated

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

1. Boil the pork ribs in a large saucepan of water for ca. 15 min as this will remove some of the fat (I skim the fat off the stock and reserve it for cooking accompanying egg fried rice).

2. Combine all the other ingredients for the marinade.

3. Put ribs into baking dish and pour marinade over. Leave to stand for at least 1 hour (or overnight), turning them occasionally.

4. Bake at 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 for approx. 1 hour or until tender (the sauce will turn from liquid into a lovely sticky gooey consistency)
