Description (Some HTML is OK)

Quick and easy to make, perfect for a Hollywood night in.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

  • 40g Popping Corn
  • 60g Caster Sugar
  • 60g Butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Syrup

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

This is based on a recipe by Liz Franklin, that was sent in a Lakeland kitchenware magazine.

Pop the corn either using a popcorn maker, or in the microwave.

Microwave: Put the corn in a bowl and cover with a lid, pop for 2½ minutes on full power.

Remove any unpopped corn

Melt butter, sugar, salt and golden syrup in a pan over a low heat.

Allow to bubble for a minute and pour it over the popcorn.

Using a couple of forks, make sure all the popcorn is coated.

Spread the covered popcorn out onto a baking tray, cook for 8-10 minutes at 140°C

Allow to cool before munching.
