This is the best tasting sauce ever in the world. Knocks spots of ketchup. Same recipe as plum chutney without the reduction. Makes 2.25kg approx. Recipe originally from Readers Digest.


Ingredients

Makes 5 servings

  • 1kg stoned plums
  • 500g apples
  • 500g onions
  • 500g raisins
  • 175g brown sugar
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp powdered mustard
  • 900ml vinegar

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

* Chop the stoned plums, peeled & cored apples, peeled onions and raisins.
* Place in pan with sugar, salt, spices and vinegar.
* Bring to boil, simmer for 20 minutes.
* Allow to cool, whizz in blender.
* Bring back to boil, bottle immediately.
