Description (Some HTML is OK)

This is a great one pan dish thats very healthy - everything is steamed.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 salmon fillets, skinless and boneless
  • ½ savoy cabbage, sliced
  • 1 carrot (cut into small strips)
  • 1 fennel (cut into small strips)
  • 1 thumb ginger, grated
  • 1 fl oz Soy sauce
  • 2 drops Fish sauce
  • 1 slug Sesame oil

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

In a large lidded frying pan add about 1/2 cm depth of water and bring to the boil. Add the onion, carrot and fennel and put the lid on. Continue on full heat for 5 mins. Check water levels and add the cabbage. Lid back on for a further 5 mins.

Add the grated ginger, soy and fish sauce and stir in. If necessary add a little more water too. Cut the salmon into big chunks and place on top of the veg. Put the lid back on and steam for 6 mins. Serve carefully to stop the salmon breaking up and have some soy on the table as a condiment.

If your chopsticks haven't gone mouldy then this would be great eaten with chopsticks!
