Simple, classic, tasty


Ingredients

Makes 4 servings

  • For the batter
  • 125g flour
  • 150ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 sausages
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Potatoes, peeled and diced
  • Butter
  • 1-2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

Preheat oven to 210

Prepare the batter:
Whisk flour, eggs and salt, add milk a little at a time until smooth consistency obtained.

Place the sausages in a oven dish, prick all over, pour over oil, and place in oven. Turn occasionally, cooking until browned.

Put cabbage and potatoes on to steam for 25 mins.

Pour batter onto sausages, return to oven and cook until batter is golden brown.

Mash potatoes with a little milk, butter, salt and pepper.

Serve with a big jug of gravy and a dollop of wholegrain mustard.
