A lovely moist tea loaf, perfect for afternoon tea.

NB above timings do not include the overnight soaking time for weetabix/fruit.


Ingredients

Makes 0 servings

  • 2 weetabix
  • ½ lb sultanas and raisins
  • ½ lb soft dark brown sugar
  • ½ pint milk
  • ½ lb self raising flour
  • 1 beaten egg

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

Mix weetabix, fruit, sugar and milk together and leave to soak overnight.

Add the flour and egg to the mixture.

Place in 2lb loaf tin and bake on the middle shelf at 150 degrees C (fan oven) for 1 ½ hours approx.
