Description (Some HTML is OK)

No fat (though high in sugar) tea bread. Depending on where you look depends on if it's Welsh, Irish or English, but who cares, it's nummy :)

Original inspiration from: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A615070

Ingredients

Makes 8 servings

  • 2 Mugs Dried Fruit (though I generally make do with 1)
  • 1 Mug Brown Sugar
  • 1 Mug Warm Tea (Earl Grey's best)
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2 Mugs self-raising Flour

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

Dump the fruit, sugar and tea into a mixer, give it a whizz. Add the beaten egg, whizz again. Gradually mix in the flour. Put in baking tin (pref lined with baking parchment), shove in oven for 1 1/2 hours at 150/300/GM 2.

Serve with butter and cups of tea
