Forked and changed Ginger biscuits or Gingerbread men: "a couple more spices and some chritmassy cutters..."
A great recipe to make with the kids as there's lots of creative dough cutting to do. A great way to make some authentic gingerbread men. Dead easy and tasty too. You'll need the right shaped cutter and some creative decorations if you're making gingerbread men (we didn't, so biscuits it was)

A traditional Dutch early December treat! Lovely tiny spicy biscuits that are sure to make you feel mighty seasonal. The spicing as given is my sort of 'standard-flavour' but feel free to experiment. I haven't indicated a serving estimate, because they're to share amongst however many (or actually, ...

from a collection of recipe from Switzerland in the 70s - a very simple "sandy" cookie (sable) with raisins (other variants possible with cocoa, almonds, chocolate chips, candied orange, icing etc.). They are extremely good for such a simple recipe - this was one of the favorite christmas biscuit i...

Cocoa and raisin cereal bars

Delicious, pretty healthy and ridiculously easy. Made them for the kids but the adults have scoffed the lot. Inspired by the extremely expensive Organix bars of the same name. Keep for ages (2 weeks+) and great for lunch boxes or emergency snacks.
