Sure to be Soda Bread. (1) forked from Foodidge

One of the easiest breads to make. It may take a few goes before perfection but the taste alone makes it worthwhile trying. Once you have it mastered it's a good one to make to utilise your oven space whilst roasting a joint for example.

Easy low fat chicken curry (2) forked from claire

I cook this when I really fancy a curry but the thought of a takeaway fills me with guilt. It really is very simple - very little prep and a minimum amount of washing up.

Lamb Rogan Josh (1, 1 new) forked from offmessage

Traditional Indian aromatic curry. Unlike anything I've ever had from a takeaway or restaurant, this curry simply blows away everyone I've ever served it to.

Steak with a Creme Fraiche & Cracked Black Pepper Sauce (1) forked from Row

Pinched from St Delia and duly adapted. Her recipe uses Sirloin steak, but the sauce works well with Ribeye (which I use), rump or fillet. Serve with a baked potato and green salad.

Saffron Risotto (1) by davidb

A very simple rustic Tuscan dish. Although not in the traditional recipe, I like to add rocket for both the colour and the variation in the texture.

Stuffed mushrooms (1) forked from Jared

This makes a great side dish to many meals. I've also tried using feta, its a bit salty but otherwise a good substitute for the goats cheese. Make sure everyone eats this at the same time, cheese, garlic, and mushrooms make for just about the worst breath in the world.

Chicken and porcini risotto (1) forked from Jared

Another way to prepare our standard risotto recipe. I personally like this one the best.

Tinned chickpea falafels (5) forked from lukkie_shipwreck

This is a quick healthy meal that you can rustle up from larder ingredients. I came across the original recipe on the babyledweaning.co.uk forums, but found they really needed some cornflour as well to hold their shape. If you double up the quantities below there's plenty for two greedy adults and o...
