Lemon Pepper Chicken Fajitas forked from DebbieT

Deliciously sour and spicy fajitas. Great for casual dinner parties where everyone can dig in and roll their fajitas how they like them.

Pear & Ginger crumble (1) forked from stuart and jen

Forked and changed Pear & Ginger crumble: "Added ground ginger to the Crumble mix"

Although your kitchen will swelter with the heat from the oven, I promise you the reward will be worth the sweat. Make sure you don't eat too much at supper, as seconds is a must with this dish. Why not just have it for supper... saves time. Serve with ice cream.

Rye Sourdough Bread forked from Tom Smith

Let's be honest, bread is a faff. This one is stupidly easy to make and so much more than edible. I had a go at this bread because Sophie can't really eat anything with yeast in it (although she manages to knock back a few glasses of wine before breakfast) and doesn't really respond well to wheat.

Japie se gunsteling (baked orange pudding) (6) by fjordaan

A light, baked pudding redolent of oranges. This comes from Kook en Geniet (Cook and Enjoy), the bible of South African cookery, first published in 1951. I've loved this pudding as long as I can remember: my grandmother made it, so did my mother, and now, so does my wife. Our copy of Kook en Geniet...

Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (1) forked from Hawthorne

Nicely chewy oatmeal raisin cookies

Double Potato Bake (2) forked from Row

Not for anyone on the Atkins diet! This was from an old Nigella recipe book, one of the few that we actually enjoyed from it. I've tinkered with the quantities a bit, and you can add another potato and sweet potato (if you're feeling ravenous) without diluting the flavour at all.
