Description (Some HTML is OK)

Pears are one of my favourite fruits and you can use them in just about every dish that usually calls for apples. This quick dessert doesn't take very long and is perfect for a cold winter evening.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

  • 2 pears (cut lengthwise and core removed)
  • Crumble
  • ¼ cup plain flour
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ⅛ cup unrefined brown sugar
  • ⅛ cup unsalted butter, cubed at room temperature
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

Preheat your oven to 350F. Place the flour and brown sugar in a large bowl and mix it together. Taking a few cubes of butter at a time rub into the flour mixture, keep rubbing until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the oats, raisins and cinnamon.

Cut the pears in half lengthwise and remove the core with a spoon. You'll make a small well in the fruit enough to add the crumble. Spoon the crumble mixture into the well. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until the crumble is browned.
