A Dinner Party winner.


Ingredients

Makes 0 servings

  • 1/ White chocolate mousse.
  • 250g white chocolate
  • 11/2tsp powdered gelatine (2tbsp water)
  • 2tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 Egg Yolks plus 2 egg whites whisked
  • 300ml whipped cream ( 1tbsp lemon juice)
  • 2/ Dark chocolate mousse.
  • 175g Dark chocolate(good quality)
  • 2tbsp Black coffee
  • 2tsp powdered gelatine (3tbsp Rum or Brandy)
  • 60g butter (melted)
  • 2 Egg yolks plus 2 egg whites whisked
  • 300ml whipped cream

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

1/ line a 23 X 12cm loaf tin with cling film

Make White chocolate mousse first

2/ Whisk egg whites till stiff
3/ Whisk cream (thick but not too thick!?)
4/ dissolve gelatine with water in microwave
5/ Gently melt white chocolate in microwave
6/ mix sugar and egg yolks into melted chocolate
7/stir in melted gelatine
8/ stir in cream
9/ quickly fold in egg whites
10/ pour into lined loaf tin and put in refrigerator to set (30mins)

Now make Dark Chocolate Mousse
1/ Whisk egg whites till stiff
2/ Whisk cream (thick but not too thick!?)
3/ dissolve gelatine with rum in microwave
4/gently melt dark chocolate with the coffee in microwave
5/Stir melted butter and dissolved gelatine into melted chocolate
6/stir in cream
7/ quickly fold in egg whites
8/pour over white chocolate mousse and leave to set

TOP TIP. Use a clean, dry knife dipped in hot water to portion and plate.
