Description (Some HTML is OK)

This is a very quick and tasty way to liven up pork steaks or chops.

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

  • 2 pork steaks
  • 1 heaped tsp brown sugar
  • Generous half teaspoon of english mustard
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar (2 capfuls)
  • 1 tsp (small squirt) ketchup
  • 2 tbsp water

Preparation (Some HTML is OK)

Season the pork with salt and pepper. Heat the frying pan to a medium heat and add the pork. You want it to be just sizzling the whole time. Cook for approx 7 mins each side.
Meanwhile make the dressing by simply mixing all the rest of the ingredients together in a small bowl. Add a generous quantity of salt and pepper to the sauce as well.
When you are happy that the pork is well cooked turn the heat right down and pour in the sauce over the pork. It should sizzle frantically at first and then calm down to a gentle bubble. Cook for a further minute or two. Serve with some new potatoes and some green veg.
